DEFINITION/FUNCTION FOR BOTH VACUOLES AND CENTRAL VACUOLES:



Vacuoles- a space or vesicle within the cytoplasm of a cell, enclosed by a membrane and typically containing fluid.


Central Vacuoles- A membrane-bound, fluid-filled sac that occupies much of the volume of a plant cell


Vacuoles are larger in plants than in animals
